Polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether is a water-soluble linear polymer with excellent lubricity, film-forming property, moisturizing property, adhesive property, dispersibility, etc. It belongs to an environmentally friendly nonionic surfactant. Its series of products, fatty acid esters and their composite materials have been widely applied in numerous fields.
Polyethylene glycol monomethyl ether is a derivative of polyethylene glycol. It is soluble in water, ethanol and most highly polar organic solvents, is not volatile, has stable chemical properties, strong hydrophilicity and is not easily destroyed by hydrolysis. It has low vapor pressure and good thermal stability, and is used as a thickener and lubricant in the textile printing and dyeing and daily chemical industries.
